ADVANCED WORKSHOP

PATENT STRATEGIES
(PATENT ANALYSIS, LANDSCAPING, DRAFTING, PROSECUTION, IP VALUATION & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT)

Objective -
This Workshop is an exclusive and focused initiative to enhance the IP Skills of Industry Professionals through a Comprehensive Case Study Presentation & practical experience sharing by IP practitioners and experts.
The Workshop will focus on key areas of Intellectual Property initiatives, such as, Freedom to Operate, Patent Analysis & Landscaping, Patent Prosecution, Patent Drafting, IP Valuation & Successful Patent Portfolio Management Strategies.
A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all the Participants
Pedagogy -
Interactive sessions, involving case studies and scenario exercises. Wherever possible, the focus will be on ‘real world’ problems and probable solution strategies. The focus of this workshop will be to deliver content that can help conceptual understanding and practical application of critical content in a relatively short period of time. Various sessions include ‘hands-on’ training and practical sessions.

The faculty would comprise leading IP Practitioners & Experts, Patent Agents, IP Attorneys, Industry experts and GIIP’s team of trainers
Who Should Attend -
Research & Development Scientists, IP Managers, IP Professionals & Consultant, Patent Agents & Attorneys in the field of Practice, Professionals in Technical Domain related to Pharma, Biotech, Electronics, Telecommunication, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Fields.
Participants should have a prior knowledge of the process of obtaining patents and have a demonstrable need to learn the art of patent analysis, prosecution, drafting patent specifications and claims. Participants should be competent to work in English
Dates & Venue -
The Workshop is being organized at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of CSIR at 19, Kamla Nehru Nagar, CGO Complex, Ghaziabad-200 002, from 1-4 February, 2010.
Registration Process:
Nominations for participation, along with the fee has to be sent latest by 25th January 2010, to GIIP. Cheque/demand draft to be drawn in favor of ‘Global Institute of Intellectual Property Pvt. Ltd’, payable at Delhi.

NON-RESIDENTIAL: Rs. 15,750 per delegate
RESIDENTIAL (Additional):
At HRDC, Ghaziabad
- For twin sharing, well furnished A/C accommodation: Rs. 500/- per day
- For single, well furnished A/C accommodation: Rs. 1000/- per day
The participation fee covers the cost of the program, one set of study material, lunch and tea (and dinner for residential participants). Travel and other related cost, personal expenses are to be borne by the participants |
