OBJECTIVE : The emphasis of the course is on providing practical exposure in advanced patent search techniques. The sessions include hands-on exercises to be critiqued and reviewed by the trainers.

TUTOR : Stephen Adams is managing director of Magister Ltd., information and training consultancy specialising in patents documentation. He trained as a chemist at the University of Bristol and then completed a Masters degree in Information Science at City University London. He has worked in technical information for over 27 years, in central UK government, private research associations and industry, including 9 years with Syngenta as their principal patent searcher.
