CERTIFICATE COURSE
ON
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS & IP SERVICES

Objective - The objective of this course is to provide the participants with in-depth knowledge of the Indian Patent Act & Rules, the patent filing procedure, drafting patent application, conducting prior art searches and the laws & rules associated to Trademarks, Copyrights and other forms of IP. The participants will be exposed to the nitty-gritty of the Patent Agent Examination, conducted by the Indian Patents & Trademark Office (PTO).
Training will include case studies, case laws and exercises to provide the participants with hands-on experience. The training will provide an opportunity to receive first-hand information including recent Judgment on various issues from the experts in the fields.
Faculty - The faculty would comprise leading IP Practitioners & Experts, Patent Agents, IP Attorneys, Industry experts and GIIP’ team of trainers
Pedagogy - Interactive sessions, involving case studies and scenario exercises, wherever possible the focus will be on ‘real world’ problems and probable solution strategies. The focus of this workshop will be to deliver content that can help conceptual understanding and practical application of critical content in a relatively short period of time. Various sessions include ‘hands-on’ training and practical sessions.
Who Should Attend - The course is highly recommended for graduates, post-graduates & PhDs in sciences, engineering, technology, biotechnology, pharmacy, etc. who are seeking advanced career-oriented knowledge in the Patent-related field. This course is also very useful for professionals planning to appear for the Patent Agent Examination (23rd and 24th January 2009).
Course Fees - Rs 13,200/- per participant
Fee for the whole program is payable through a bank draft favoring "FITT, IIT Delhi".
