GIIP, a training services company has been set up by a team of successful entrepreneurs, IP Practitioners, US Attorneys and well qualified team of subject experts and trainers. GIIP has put together unique international - standard programs that are conducted by Indian and international IP practitioners, to provide familiarity to global curricula, by focusing on practical, business and legal aspects of international patents and procedures. Currently, GIIP offers diploma (full-time program), certificate (part-time program), executive and corporate programs.

GIIP aims to train the large talent pool of science and technical graduates, post graduates and PhDs and to build a team of Patents & IP professionals that can cater to the growing needs of the global customers. The training programs will open many opportunities for participants who wish to seek job opportunities in the area of IP and patents with MNCs, evolving domestic industries (Large Corporates, SMEs), outsourcing companies (KPOs and LPOs), law firms, R&D institutes.

GIIP started operations in February 2007 and conducted the first pilot training program, in March 2007, in collaboration with IIT Delhi. The program was for technical professionals and covered all aspects of US and Indian IP and patent laws and procedures and was hugely successful (out of 225 applicants, 45 were selected for the program). GIIP plans to conduct similar programs with IIT Delhi and other IITs and Engineering colleges across the contry.

Subsequent to the IIT-GIIP program, GIIP announced the 9-month, full-time diploma program in International Patents and IP in August 2007. A few of the course participants received industry sponsored scholarship for the program with job offers on completion of the training.

Students from our past programs (in collaboration of with IIT Delhi and 9-month, full-time PG diploma program) have been successfully placed with companies, like, CSIR, Panacea Biotech, Biocon, Ranbaxy, Cisco, HCL, Evalueserve, Intellevate, Inventurus, Anand & Anand, A A Mohan Associates, Remfry & Sagar, Intel AdvoCare etc.

From time to time, GIIP has been conducting seminars, industry specific workshops and lecture series on various Patents and IP topics for Pharma, Biotech and High Tech (IT, Software, Telecom) Industries and professionals.
